Hold On

The word "on" is written on the side.
I was trying to paint something about surviving the crisis.

Hole or Hope

Lines I left on Paintings:

Sometimes I think everything beautiful
is just bait for the old fishers.

Hope

Hole

What I say to you travels about
770 miles per hour on a warm day.

The chill you create slows the speed of my sound;
I don't want to talk to anyone who is cold.

Sound cannot travel in a vacuum
My words vibrate through your matter.

After all that talk about actualizing potential
and living out-loud —
I am at fifty-six still a secret
but at least I am a secret you can't keep.

Imagine Me Just Looking

This painting is obvious.
I think—some people are just by–standers..
Perhaps there is humor here?

Gertrude Stein

This is supposed to be Gertrude Stein—talking to Gertrude
who makes up her own language,
my grandmother also made up her own language when she got dementia–
her name was also Gertrude!

Living on the Edge The Human Race

The Proof Against Bigotry

Observing prejudice runs south down every continent: Canadians look down on Americans who look down on Southerners who look down on Mexicans who look down on Guatemalans who look down on Nicaraguans. In Sweden I met people who looked down on Germans who looked down on Italians who looked down on Southern Italians who look down on Africans.

Yes I have noticed prejudice runs south. Despite Eratosthenes having calculated in 1700 B.C. our radius, and doing the math to prove us round, we did not believe until 2000 years later when Magellan sailed around the world, to die in his journey, that the earth was really round. Every year we see the proof of Earth's shape, every lunar eclipse when the moon slowly moves through earth's shadow. Every time that shadow is seen, its edge is round.

Still prejudice runs down?

Walking Deliberately 2 What Chu Looking at What You Looking at Waking Up Walking Deliberately Tikkun Olam

Late at night
thoughts fly from my mind
those dark birds
dive after slivers of silver
memories
memories.

Soon minnows dripped
from a moon dangle
from their steel beaks
filling the mouth of my dream
sating an old woman's mind.

Late at night
When the crow finally
becomes afraid
and migrates to morning
where the sun bleeds again
and again
over and over again,
Tikkun olam

Tikkun olam
Heal the world.

She Lets Me Still Going The Essential Thing L'Chaim 2 (Unframed)

The Lost Boys found me, in one moment I became an old woman

full of pain, but wise, a fucking sage.

Lost

I think the painting captures the concept of being LOST
in the vastness—at sea, or at life.

I painted the bright horizon as a symbol of hope.

A few stanzas later and
I am a grandmother.
Really this part is true,
there is this beacon of hope in Durango

Why Poets Take the Time to Anguish Over a Word

I have written 10,000 weightless words
but have always known
that just three
in the right place
and in the right time
can known you down

Word Into the Night Chaos Dream Untitled L'Chiam

Excerpt:

Toast to dependable things like
the spray of nebula against darkness
the falling star, the wish
not whether or not it comes true,
but to the wish itself,
and to the potential in all things.

Untitled Be Doubtless Continues the Theme

Asking the question of the lost soul—are you ok??
And maybe the question pertains to the viewer.

The lost paintings are very personal for me –
as I've lost a family member to madness.
